Sarah Michelle Wergin has been in the healing arts for over 29 years. She earned her Diploma of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in a Registered Apprenticeship. This three-year program consisted of over 4000 hours of education. She was certified as a Diplomat in Acupuncture by the National Certification Com-mission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) in 2004 and is currently licensed in Colorado and North Carolina. Sarah is also a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner and graduated from the College of St. Catherine-Minneapolis as a Registered Nurse in 1998 and is currently licensed in North Carolina and Colorado.
In addition, Sarah has received training/certification in Western Herbalism, Healing Touch Therapy, Massage Therapy, Acutonics® Sound Healing, Facial Soundscapes™ Skin Rejuvenation, Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture System™, NAET Allergy Elimination, Nutritional/Blood/Genotype Analysis, The Eclectic Triphasic Medical System, Classical Feng Shui and MTHFR treatment.

Traditional Chinese medicine explains acupuncture as a technique for balancing the flow of energy or life force — known as Qi, which flows through various pathways (meridians) in your body. By inserting needles into specific points along these meridians, balance to your energy flow can be restored.

Cosmetic / Skin Rejuvenation Acupuncture
This form of acupuncture has been used in China for thousands of years and was reserved for the Emperor and his court. Cosmetic Acupuncture is a holistic approach to looking and feeling younger. It promotes the circulation of Qi and blood to nourish the skin, treating the whole body and healing from the inside out.
It promotes collagen production for improved muscle tone and elasticity, reduces wrinkles and fine lines, reverses the signs of sun damage, reduces sagginess, puffiness, and drooping; shrinks pores, and brings vitality back to the skin. Because the treatment also includes a constitutional diagnosis, it addresses the individual’s core imbalances.
This is true whole body health. Sarah is certified in several Facial Rejuvenation modalities with over 19 years of experience with these kinds of treatments.
It also includes organic skincare products by Dr.Hauschka and Sacred Skin and Gua Sha/Facial massage.
For optimal results, to build collagen in the skin and retain it for a length of time; a series of treatments at 2 per week for 5 weeks is recommended.

What is Chinese Herbal Medicine?
Chinese herbal medicine has been around for more than 4000 years and is based on a long history of empirical observation and many centuries of clinic trials. Herbs are gentler than pharmaceutical drugs and work in a synergistic way. The components of an herb work together and balance each other so that side effects are minimal and rare. Herb-drug interactions are rare, but be sure to tell your practitioner all the pharmaceuticals you are taking.
